Bridget is a special angel sent from above
To the Editor:
This letter is written with greatest respect to a very special lady, dear friend, and soul-mate to my late wife Sharon Stierns. Bridget entered our lives last June after we learned that my wife’s cancers had returned even after two surgeries. From the moment Sharon and Bridget met it was magical. The Lord sent this unselfish, giving, and caring angel with a great sense of humor and a hearty laugh to be at our sides in our time of despair. Bridget was there for Sharon at the Cloquet hospital, at home, a number of times at St. Luke’s hospital, and at the Sunny Side Health Care during the last month. Bridget would often tell us to call her at any hour of the day if we should need her, and meant it! To see my wife’s face light up when she would walk into the room was more than we could ask for in her final months.
Bridget who has the drive of three people despite her own illnesses, volunteers at the Cloquet Community Memorial Hospital and Nursing Home for those who have need of a chaplain.
Forever grateful and with love,
Daniel & Melinda
“Bridget’s coming to my house, which she had never been, in the middle of the night to check on me and my father after my mother’s passing, was single-handedly the nicest act of kindness I have ever encountered. It made me feel so much better to have someone talk me down and get my mind straight. She helped tremendously on what to do next. I thank her with all my heart and I thank God for good friends.” – Zac
“And that was before I knew how wonderfully special you would make our “Baptism Day”. I can’t thank you enough. You are a special person and I am so glad that I have met you. My kids really are happy that we did this. Thank you so very much. Big big hugs to you.” – Margie
“I got an e-mail from a friend of mine in Iowa and he commented “Who is Bridget”. I responded that she is a special gift from above who is filled with spirit and love. May God’s love continue to shine within you. You are truly a special person. Thanks again.” – Howard
“My mere words cannot express the gratitude we feel!!!! So many compliments were given regarding her delivery of the service, it’s a beautiful gift to be able to sum up words to express one’s life. Again, thank you!”
“I would like to thank her so much, from our family for the memorial service to which she honored our beloved Jerry. Many compliments were given from our family/friends, how she chose the words and described our loved one. I remembered her words, about people keeping in touch with us, since others are going back to their regular schedules, while we live in our pain. So true………..
I will never forget her kind words & tribute to him. She is an exceptional human being – who has found her calling……..” – Terri
